Valentina Picozzi - Screaming George II

Screaming George II by Valentina Picozzi is an artwork made by Gate 44 in close collaboration with the artist.

The artwork features an image of a dollar bill with the screaming face of President George Washington. The piece is made using UV print on alveolar polycarbonate, Bitcoin-marked pills, and a handcrafted metal frame tailored by our metalworking team.

The artwork was exhibited at Art Dubai Art Fair / 2024

Valentina Picozzi is a Bitcoin activist artist who for more than a decade, through her artistic practice, has been bringing economic and political issues into dialogue with a pop aesthetic, creating questions and openly criticizing the contemporary system.
