IERI. OGGI. SULLA SOGLIA. 昨天、今天、在门槛上 is a handmade box that encases six photogravures printed for the artist Francine Mury. Limited to an edition of 7, each edition is numbered and signed by the artist.
Francine Mury was born in Montreux, Switzerland. She started her studies of visual arts in England at the Shrewsbury School of Art and continued them at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Basel and Bern. From the onset of her career, she has made the research of colour, canvas form, paper and Artists Books the main focus of her work, with the intention of transcribing states of mind. Presence and absence, opacity and transparency, geometry and chance, elements which are only in appearance contrasting, distinguish her work. The references to the natural world are implicit in certain forms and explicit in the chromatic span that characterizes her work, but the abstraction of what is given concretely, obscures and overrides the initial references. She now lives and works in Southern of Switzerland. Her work can be seen in public and private collections both in Switzerland and abroad. In 2016 six months stay at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris.
